· Have even more sex.
· Get fit. People don’t understand what a strain it can be for your body to grow and carry that little one for nine months. It’s best to get fit beforehand. Just don’t work-out too much because then your body might stop ovulating.
· Avoid toxins. That includes giving up alcohol, caffeine and smoking which are all proven to affect fertility negatively. It’s also good practice for when you do conceive! Some medications also reduce fertility, or can affect your little one so check with your doctor if you’re taking any chronic medication.
· Stay away from briefs. Guys, tight underwear can reduce your sperm count or damage your sperm because it just gets too warm down there. Even sitting at a desk all day could be damaging so make sure you take frequent breaks to walk around and cool them spermies down.
· Relax! In spite of the fact that we keep hearing differing ideas about the links between stress and infertility, we all understand that stress strains your system and can lead to depression – neither of which is good news for fertility!
