The Foods to Avoid While Pregnant

Almost every woman knows the central of what they must and should not do during pregnancy.  They understand that caffeine must be cut back; they must not smoke, drink alcohol or spend occasion in any hot tubs.  On the other hand further & further studies are being done to see when pregnant women should avoid particular foods for the duration of their pregnancy.

Speaking of listeria there are other foods that could contain this bacteria.  Several soft cheeses such as brie, feta, & gorgonzola.  These cheeses are normally made by unpasterized milk.  Unpasterized milk often contains listeria, so pregnant women require to make certain that any smooth cheeses they are aimed at eat are created with pasteurized milk. 

Fish possesses always been a topic of debate for pregnant women. Raw eggs or anything containing raw eggs is a no no during pregnancy.  There is a potential exposure to salmonella.  This means no raw cookie dough, no brownie mix, & a few homemade sauces for instance hollandaise, Caesar dressing & blue cheese dressing.  While dining in a restaurant, it would be wise to consult any sauces or dressings contain any raw eggs.  Most restaurants must be using pasteurized eggs in any raw egg recipe but one must still double check.
